October is most commonly known for Breast Cancer Awareness, and last month I had the honor of participating in a special event hosted by Beauty By Jill! So many great businesses joined together to collaborate an make sure to not only raise awareness, but honor some local women whom have or are currently fighting against this awful disease.
It was super fun to see all the women dressed up in fun, spunky wigs! The girls from Beauty By Jill offered hair and beauty tips throughout the night. Great wine from The Met, some delicious food from Fat Cat Diner made for an awesome girls night.
It was inspiring to hear the stories of so many women who have fought and beat breast cancer but to hear the stories of those currently fighting it. These women are strong, courageous, beautiful, and full of life despite what has been thrown their way. Breast Cancer Awareness may be spot lighted in the month of October, but we really should encourage the women around us to be proactive every month. Even though the event was last month, I encourage you to lift these women up in prayer that they receive healing and continue down a healthy path!
