When I met with Ashley and her family to talk about their big day she was quiet, and easy going. Her and Kevin have been together for quite some time, and she would perk up when she talked about him and their relationship!
Ashley is going to school at Toledo but always works on Kevin’s families dairy farm when she is home. The farm has really played a big role throughout their relationship so I was beyond thrilled to shoot their engagement session there! I got there and started doing a little exploring before they met me outside! I was like a kid in a candy store! It was like I’ve never seen cows before! They both toured me around and told me a little about the farm. Kevin’s grandma still goes out to milk every morning and night and how even kids from the local high school come to help! Kevin is pretty much the head mechanic, fixing just about anything and everything.
He even restored a tractor to honor his late grandfather. It was BEAUTIFUL!! I definitely got to see more of Ashley’s personality, she was in a dress and heals, yet moving things and in with the animals, a true farm girl at heart! I myself found myself wanting to learn more and in awe of everything. I don’t know how good I would do working on a farm, but I sure could love on all the animals!! It was a chilly night but towards the end we had the most beautiful light! It was gorgeous!!
Ashley and Kevin seriously adore each other, you could almost see their hearts beating out of their chest when they look at each other! I am SO excited for their wedding next month! When couples have been together as long as Ashley and Kevin have been, the anticipation for their wedding is large, and i’ve heard they will have quite the fun crowd!
